What is the meaning of the word "CRYOGENICS"? important term of material science.

                                             CRYOGENICS

In physics, Cryogenic is Production and Behaviour of Material at very low temperature.
it assumes that Gas to be cryogenic if it can be liquified at or below -150℃.

The word comes from Greek origins, the meaning of CRYO-GENIC as follows,
Cryo means "COLD" and Genic means "PRODUCING".

Application of term cryogenic in wide-field including Electronics, Space, Material Science, and Medical Science, etc.
Cryogenic cooling of device and material is usually achieved via the use of liquid nitrogen, liquid helium or a mechanical cryocooler.
For cryogenic temperature measurement down to 30K - RTD (resistance temperature detector) is used. less than 30K - Silicon diode used for accuracy.

TEMPERATURE SCALE

Some of the Cryogenic fluid with their boiling points are as follow,

CRYOGENIC FLUID
BOILING POINT  (K)
BOILING POINT (°C)
NITROGEN
77.09
-196.06
HELIUM -3
3.19
-269.96
OXYGEN
90.18
-182.97
METHANE
111.70
-161.45
HYDROGEN
20.27
-252.88
NEON
27.09
-246.06
AIR
78.80
-194.35

Use of cryogenic fluid for rockets with liquid hydrogen as the most widely used example.we all know that about recent ISRO mission where cryogenic engine use in chandrayaan-2, in which the third stage of GSLV-III used cryogenic engine which used liquid Hydrogen and liquid Oxygen as fuel.
